The Largest Specimen of Kurodina smithi SOWERBY and its Radula

Abstract

The specimen of Kurodina smithi (SOWERBY) collected from off Inubo-zaki SSE at 700 m deep, measures 260 mm in height, 100 mm in width and 152 mm in height of aperture. This is the largest specimen hitherto collected. The radula of this species has only one series of central tooth with three large cusps, the middle one is the largest.
