Electrophoretic Variants of Adductor Muscle Proteins in Crassostrea gigas

Abstract

It was found that there are three phenotypes of extracted proteins in the semitransparent part of adductor muscle of Crassostrea gigas distinguished by disc electrophoresis. These phenotypes were presumed to be under the control of a two allele system (A and B). The frequencies of A and B were 0.569 and 0.431.
