A New Species of Squid Genus Onychoteuthis from the Southwest Pacific

Abstract

A small-sized species of the genus Onychoteuthis frequently taken from lancetfish's stomach in the Southwest Pacific was proved to be new to science. It is characterized by small size in maturity, and possessions of very broad fins and very minute intestinal photophores.
