Land Molluscan Fauna of Kumejima Island, the Northwestern Okinawa, Japan, with Description of a New Taxon

Abstract

The land molluscan fauna of Kumejima Island, northwestern Okinawa Island was investigated in February 1991. In the total, 41 species belonging to 32 genera of 17 families were collected. One subspecies belonging to the genus Satsuma (Coniglobus) Pilsbry, 1905 (Family Camaenidae) is described as new to science.
