Abstract
1. In this paper several new localities of Sphaerium miyadii MORI are reported ; viz. Kunasiri Island, Southern Kuriles (Nikisiro-Numa, Higasi-Biroku-ko, Furukamapp-Numa, Tofutu-Ponto-Ko, Siranuka-Ko, Tofutu-Ko, Sibutyari-Numa) ; Simusyu Island, Northern Kuriles (Lake No. 6). The specimens from Simusyu Island are slightly different from the type specimen in surface colour, the former being gray yellowishbrown, the latter light grayish-yellow. 2. The specimens from Sigi-no-Su Daira, Paramusiru Island, Northern Kuriles, may be identified with Sphaerium corneum scaldianum (NORMAND), which is widely distributed all over Europe and West and Central Siberia.
