Abstract
One of the areas that kindergarten education focuses on is the environment and so a course of study for kindergarten includes the concept that children should learn how precious all living things are. For that purpose, animal care is taught in infant education. Though having animals as pets has become more popular lately, the chances that children can touch animals are decreasing. In this study, the effects of five kinds of animal care activities involving male rabbits’ hut, female rabbits’ hut, bantam fowls’ hut, a pony’s stable and aquatic organisms are assessed through the voices of children who joined the activities. As well, a group interview of the teachers involved in the study was conducted to research the details of the activities. The results show that how veterinary nurse could support animal care activities in kindergarten.
