Abstract
The oriental white stork(Ciconia boyciana) has been reintroduced into its original habitat in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture. The re-introduction project has rendered people aware of the value of this bird as important local resources, and has been contributing to the promotion (advancement) of community development. As the number of the visitor increases after the release of the bird, local residents began to face the issue concerning the relationship with the visitors. This paper clarifies how the oriental white stork has been valued in tourist industry through the result of the survey to the visitors of Hyogo Park of the Oriental White Stork.
