Home theater market will expand according to rapid progress of video DVD and the start of digital TV broadcasting. The vivid and vital image can be observed at home. Recently, many companies have developed 3D displays for the next-generation display. Therefore, the increase of 3D contents for 3D display is indispensable. The 3D displays require at least two different scenes, that is, for right and left eyes of the views. 3D contents are shot with stereo video camera or are drawn by a Computer Graphics creator. The 3D conversion of already existing 2D video or cine contents is executed manually by operators. This operation is very laborious. This paper describes a system by which 3D contents can be generated from 2D contents semi-automatically.
