Abstract

In recent years, 3DCG character animation has been widely used in various fields. 3DCG character animation has time-line data. It is difficult to represent content of 3DCG character animation accurately using 2D image. Therefore, many methods to represent 3DCG character animation as 2D image have been suggested. However, there are few discussing on the viewpoint that is important for representing 3DCG character animation using 2D image. In this paper, we propose a method of locating optimal viewpoint that is easy to understand a motion of character. Our method illustrates the character and arrows that represent direction of motion from optimal viewpoint that the character and arrows is viewable well and a motion of character is understandable.
