Abstract
Realistic animations can be created using physically-based fluid simulations, but computational costs for the simulations are still huge. To address this, in cases that fluids combine/separate, the costs can be reduced if a simulation space can be separated into several small spaces where the fluids exist. However, when multiple spaces are overlapped, discontinuous flows might be generated around such overlapped region. To avoid such discontinuous flows, we have been studying a simulation method to obtain smooth flows around the boundaries of overlapped regions of multiple grids.
