Abstract
With the advent of HMD interfaces for home use, VR contents have become very familiar and the forms of entertainment have become more diverse. In this study, we reexamine the components of immersion, which is an important sensation in VR experiences, deepen our understanding of immersion, and conduct evaluation experiments to see to what extent our approach to enhancing immersion within VR devices affects the actual VR experience. The purpose of this study is to evaluate and examine the components of immersion in VR experiences in detail, and to examine what elements influence humans, and to examine how we can build systems and environments that provide a high level of immersion. As a result, a slight improvement in immersion was observed by incorporating a frame with a blurred peripheral vision area inside the VR device.
