Abstract

In order to visualize the phenomenom of wave propagation process on ultra-sonic testing, the computer program based on FEM was developed. The accuracy of the calculation results, such as the wave amplitude and waveform reflected from defects, were comfirmed by the comparison with test results. Moreover, the inverse analysis of crack size and shape were performed utilizing the solution of FEM and neural networks.
