Abstract
The Leaf Butterfly Kallima inachus ranges widely in south Asia with its northeastern limit of distribution on the Okinawa Isl. In 1981 this butterfly further extended its range to the Okinoerabujima Isl. about 60km north of the Okinawa Isl. Moreover, in 2005 one male was found on the Tokunoshima Isl. about 33km north of the Okinoerabujima Isl. In 2008 the authors found some larvae on the Tokunoshima Isl. Does this fact indicate a minute northward range expansion as have been known on some other butterflies?
