Abstract
Vertigo and hearing loss account for a relatively large proportion of diseases treated by the Department of Otolaryngology, and intracranial lesions are a relatively rare cause. From October 2015 to April 2025, we experienced 13 cases of intracranial lesions, including 7 cases of cerebral infarction(53.8%),5 cases of auditory nerve tumor(38.5%),and 1 case of brain tumor(7.7%).The diagnosis of auditory nerve tumor was confirmed by MRI performed during the course of 5 cases. Seven cases of cerebral infarction were treated with emergency MRI. Five of these patients were taken by ambulance to our hospital due to vertigo attack. Some cerebral infarction cases can be easily mistaken for Ménière's disease or sudden hearing loss with vertigo because they cause dizziness and acute hearing loss, and some cases have no accompanying symptoms other than vertigo and nausea.
