Abstract
Recently, a series of injection molding process can be simulated with advanced computer. Injection molding simulation makes it possible to predict defects of products and to optimize various conditions and a shape of mold before making trial parts. Injection molding simulation consists of 3-stages, mold cooling, filling and warping analysis. Though fairly accurate results can get with mold cooling and filling analysis, warping analysis doesn't have enough precision to evaluate results quantitively. To improve the precision of warping analysis, thermo-viscoelastic model that considers distribution of material properties, values through the thickness was proposed. As a result, the residual stress calculated with this model showed better agreement to the measured residual stress.
