Quo vades Composites

Abstract

Composite Materials were expected to realize materials revolution and bring great benefite for human life with light weight and long life machines. But people seems to be tired of developing new materials because of severe decay of economy, and just waiting watchfully. To make sure of this trend, the research state of composite materials in Japan was briefly reviwed, and made an anticipation on the future of composite materials such as intelligent materials and intermetallic compounds.
