Abstract
The Author attempts to give the general theory of the motion in the water field with free surface due to a unsteadily moved immersed body by such a method as potential or wave theory. This problem was attacked from some different way by Mr. Maruo on this Spring Meeting of this society. General expression of velocity potential is given in § 2.
