The element composition of the coating and painting layers of old Thai pottery, which is called "Sangkhalok", was investigated by micro-PIXE analysis based on the glass-capillary-focused micro-beam. The sample was prepared from a piece of the broken pottery and its cross section was carefully polished and cleaned. We used a proton micro-beam having a spot diameter of several tens of micromenters so that we could irradiate the coating layer and the painting layer of the sample independently. The elemental composition of each layer was determined from the measured X-ray spectrum.
Neutronic and burnup analysis have been performed in the previous study for a small simplified pebble bed reactor using both uranium and thorium fuel. In the present study, decay heat removal without forced cooling in the accident condition of a simplified pebble bed reactor with peu a peu fuel loading scheme are going to be performed.
Equilibrium burnup analysis code for OTTO cycle in pebble bed reactor has been developed by coupling the Monte Carlo method for neutronic calculation and direct equilibrium burnup method. validation of the depletion module was performed by the comparation with MVP-BURN calculations.
