This study examines the test methods and evaluations which were produced during a comparison of the performance vibration similar to that which would be felt by humans senses on full scale test floors. (1) The test floors of the existing and 2×4 system were used with a combination of each finishing (Tatami, carpet, flooring, andunfinished) over an area the size of 3600mm×3600mm, a specification used by Finance corporation. (2) As for the methods, vibration was similated by dropping a sand bag and tire (equivalent to a violent fall by an adult and childrens' jumping.) and through walking, running, and jumping. (3) As for the evaluation method, the values obtained from equation (1) are plotted on the performance evaluation chart (Fig. 7) for wooden floors by referring to the evaluation data shown i Fig. 6. Conclusions are draw from the area of the area of the dots. From the results in this study, it was found that the vibration on wooden floors is determined by a combination of floor type, and that the influence from finishing materials is small. Future cosiderations could be the standardization of sensory values, simpler testing methods, and the development of test equipment which can evaluate the recent diversity of flooring commonly used.
