An american architect William Merrell Vories was active in Japan from the end of the Meiji era to the post war period. He designed more than 1,500 buildings in his life time, and all of them are not well known except for the famous ones due to the huge number of works. This research is based on two remodelling drawings of the missionary Frank Cary's residence planned in Otaru City, Hokkaido, to investigate the existence of residence corresponding to the drawings and to make an analogy model of the residence. These drawings are the only each floor plan and part of the development view.
The aim of this study is to develop a simple ventilation measurement method consisting of measurement and analysis methods by ventilation experiments using tracer gas in a model house considering daily life. This measurement system used carbon dioxide as the tracer gas, human expiration(CO2) as the source, and high performance sensor, microcomputer board and laptop as the measurement unit. This system can be made at a low cost. Inference of correct air change rate were obtained from measurements that included large fluctuations in carbon dioxide concentration due to the breathing of a person in the room, assuming initial values by regression analysis, and using least squares method and least absolute value methods.
We developed a new thermal storage and humidity control paint that has a humidity control function by mixing diatomaceous earth with the previously reported thermal storage paint. We quantified the basic thermal performance and the moisture absorption and desorption performance, and examined the environmental improvement effect of passive thermal storage and humidity control by using solar radiation in the experimental building.
This teaching material is an audiovisual teaching material using a head-mounted display. The head-mounted display can display explanations of practical training contents, photos and videos showing the state of work, 3D CG of tasks, etc. The purpose is to learn the technology by working while watching the contents displayed on the head-mounted display. We report on the features and usage of the developed teaching materials.
This bike ergometer can perform effective rehabilitation in a short time. The operation and heart rate measurement of this bike ergometer is hygienic as it is done without a contact sensor. The development of this bike ergometer was done in the "Development Task Practical Training".
