Recent advancement of micromechanical processing technology made micromachine true. However, independent type micromachine such as micro-submarine, etc., is still very difficult to make because of the issue of energy supply, control, etc. On the other hand, the natural microorganisms are considered as a very precise independent type micro machenes. If we can control their motion at our will, we can use microorganisms as living micromachines. According to this idea, the authors have invesitigated the applicability of 'taxis' to control microorganism's motion. In the present, we can control Paramecium and other ciliates by applying weak electrical field. We can also rotate micro impeller by using motion controlled paramecium. In this paper, the possibility of "Mechano-Bio Fusion System" by using microorganism as a living manipulator/actuator. The present reserch level will be summarized.
