The adhesion force between wheel and rail is calculable from motor torque, inertia of drive system and wheel acceleration in slipping and sliding. Since the phenomena of slip and slide are instantaneous, however, it is required to pay attention to the quick changes of the wheel rotation in culculating the adhesion force. This paper discusses the precision of detected acceleration and the adhesion force thus obtained from measurement data.
Recently, Railway Systems are getting increased worldwide attention in order to reduce environmental pollution and traffic jam. The railway systems are Light Rail Transits in city or high speed railways between cities. Up to now, dynamic behavior of the vehicle running on a turnout at high speed was NOT researched. Dynamic behaivior of the vehicle running on turnout at high speed was calculated in this research. The developed simulation considered the longitudinal variation of crosssection of rail head with vehicle running on turnout which has Tongue Rail and Crossing Rail. This paper shows the results of dynamic simulation of the vehicle running on a turnout at high speed.
