Abstract

An example of anti-K1 found in a non-transfused Japanese female donor is reported. The antibody, though considered to be natural occuring, was of the IgG type and reacted in the antiglobulin tests, but not in saline. In testing approximately 1, 500 random Japanese donors in Yamaguchi, no K1 positive was found.
