Abstract
We have recently developed a new ceramics-tip for localized Laser hyperthermia. A contact YAG Laser probe used for incisions developed into new one for localized hyperthermia when the Laser probe is inserted, into the target tissue. The histological findings in the tongue of a rabbit one day after and 3 days after the localized hyperthermia had been performed. There was no marked tissue damage in the heated area, Both the lipoxygenase and cyclooxygenase metabolites increased somewhat, but after 7 days these metabolites returned to normal conditions.
