Christianity has been rapidly growing in Nepal. And local Christians are often criticized by non-Christians as using Christianity "instrumentally," for escaping from caste system or attaining some kinds of benefits. Foreign missionaries, too, criticize the instrumental belief of local Christians. How local Christians react, then? This presentation is to pursue the narratives of instrumentalism by various actors involved.
In this present, I would like to report some changes of sacred spot in X district at Northern part of Okinawa Island. Those changes took place from after the war until the present time was influenced by Okinawan historical and political factor. Following the course of those events, I will explain the historical course of community.
