Abstract
The purpose of this study is to get hints for further improvement of art appreciation classes. This study examines three main factors of which art appreciation classes are composed. The first factor is teachers' teaching ability of art appreciation classes. The second is students' appreciating ability of public art. The third is the environment of studying art for students. By making it clear how art appreciation classes are actually done, and by finding out the problems that need to be solved, it is possible to make more appropriate plans for art appreciation classes that correspond to individuals. The art appreciation class in this study was done for children with development disorders in the fourth grade, aging 10 to 11. Through this experiment, it was evident that art appreciation classes are one of the most useful ways of art education for children with development disorders.
