Abstract
Silicamicro-spheresweresynthesizedbyusingNH;,asacatalystinhydroxypropylcellulose(HPC)solutionthroughthehydrolysisandcondensationpolymerizationoftetraethoxysilaneEffectsofthesolventsandHPCmolecularweightongrowthandthemorphologyofthesilicaparticleswereexamined.TheparticlediameterwasdepressedbyadditionofHPCinn-butanolandethanolsolutions.TheeffectofHPCadditionwasremarkableinthecasewhenlargermolecularweightHPCwasused・ItwasconsideredthattheparticlegrowthwassuppressedbychemicaladsorptionofHPCongeneratedsilicaparticles.
