This work is a next-generation online workshop that aims to integrate face-to-face and online formats so that participants attending both in-person and online can interact with facilitators in the same way. Firstly, participants will learn about the differences between analog and digital sound in terms of the mechanism of sound transmission, as well as the history of vinyl records through a storyboard explanation and a phonograph demonstration. Participants will then have the opportunity to assemble a paper craft kit for playing a phonosheet themselves and listen to the sound from the player while rotating the phono sheet by hand. Online participants will be able to gain the same experience as those taking part in person by having their questions answered via live demonstrations.
