The influence that the essential oils of Lavandula species and its aronia exert on growth inhibition for microorganisms was investigated. The microorganisms used in the study were Candida albicans, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Streptomyces griseus subsp. griseus of skin resident microorganisms, and Serratia sp. A3 (gram-negative) and Bacillus sp. G21(gram-positive) originate in surface active agents. The microorganism was applied to agar plate and exposed to the essential oil at 32 ℃. The aroma from L.latifolia brought the considerable growth inhibition for skin resident microorganisms. 1,8-Cineole contained essential oils has highly growth inhibition in the test of itself. Serratia sp. A3 was not inhibited by aroma from essential oils of Lavandula spesies.
