Abstract
Oviposition by the adult maggot female was stimulated by the odour of n-propyl disulfide and n-propyl mercaptan in moist sand. Probing with mouth parts and ovipositor but no egg deposition occurred when dishes containing these chemicals were covered with screen. The alcohols and carbonyl compounds tested in general inhibited oviposition.
