Neoliberal governmentality and urban space in the Philippines

Abstract

This presentation will discuss how contemporary neoliberal urban governance is carried out through, on one hand, including the "civil" people internalised specific rationality and discipline and, on the other hand, differentiate and exclud the "un-civil" people. It will focus on two cases observed in urban poor community in Manila, the Philippines.
