Abstract
Rendering of glares with computer generated images is a popular way to represent brightness of the scene. We propose a fast method to detect bright spots in the scene and put glare images using vertex texture fetch on GPUs. Our method can generate high quality glare images in real-time and is suitable for interactive applications like computer games and virtual reality.
