Abstract
Actual air change rate and indoor air quality were measured in occupied classrooms of elementary schools in Kanto area in intermediate season. It was confirmed that 2.2 air change rate requirement in the School Environment Hygienic Standard could be met in case that doors and windows are opened properly. Measurement results of air quality and thermal conditions of classrooms and corridors indicated that air quality in corridors was close to outdoor, and that of thermal condition was close to classrooms. This result suggests that air route supplied from corridor to classroom is an option for appropriate ventilation design for classrooms.
