A Study on Emotion based Search Interface

- A New Content Search Technology via Prosody -

Abstract

This paper describes a study on prosody based multi-media content search interface.A number of related work which proposed a search interface based on sensitive word or similarity of pictures were reported. In this paer prosody patterns, which play important roles for emotional presentation, are utilized as inputkeys for searching. This approach enables users to search for 'similar emotional scene' such as 'upset-scene', 'sorrowful-scene', and 'angry-scene'. An assesment experiment was conducted with 18 subjects. The result confirmed the proposed method can be utilized for emotion based search interface.
