Abstract
This paper presents several fundamental methods of estimating the time points of UAV crashes . For the purpose of protecting UAV during a crash event , we decide to use an airbag to provide UAV a soft cushioning and restraint Airbag is designed to inflate extremely rapidly then quickly deflate it is important to find out the timing of deploying the airbag. (Considering about using an automotive airbag, it is necessary to recognize the 0.1 second before crashes Therefore, our study is to compare the methods of measuring UAV’s flight height above the ground in each moment of the falling process by using camera and sensor.
