Abstract
Recently, people take selfies with their smartphones. For taking selfies, in-camera mounted inside the smartphone is often used. However, the in-camera has lower resolution than the out-camera mounted on the outside of the smartphone. One of the methods to improve resolution is super-resolution(SR). Among the SR technologies, nonlinear signal processing(NLSP) is a compact and light SR technology. However, the performance of NLSP on a smartphone has not yet been evaluated. We adjusted NLSP for selfies and evaluated the performance by subjective assessment. The assessment results proved that the image quality of the smartphone with NLSP is effective for selfies.
