Characteristic Analysis of Soccer Penalty Kicks by Shooting Direction

Abstract

In this study, we analyzed the data of penalty kick kickers in order to develop a system to support their practice of shooting, which is difficult to be predicted by goalkeepers. The results showed that the angle of the kicker's axle foot and the angle of leg opening were correlated with the shooting angle of some kickers, which was useful for understanding the characteristics of the kicker's own shooting.
