Abstract
This is a report of the fundamental investigations for the planning of the basic parks for community use to the residential distict. The purpose of this report is to make clear the characteristics of 5 parks classified by the combinations of 3 types of the basic parks for community use (which are Infant, Children's and Neighborhood Parks). The results obtained are as follows ; 1. The standards of park's public service in the residential district are decided by the combinations of 3 types of parks from the view point of children's play life, and its standards are related to their utilization forms. 2. The characteristics of utilization forms in the Infant Parks under 0. 05ha. and in the Neighborhood Parks under 2ha. are specific, but the utilization forms of 3 types of parks other than these 2 doesn't differ much. 3. Each type of park (Infant, Children's or Neighborhood Park) don't have its peculiar users and users' area to each type.
