Abstract
The thermal performance of Passive Solar Buildings essentially depends on the local climate condition, so that it is critical in the simulation for the prediction of thermal performance how to input the local weather data that represents the characteristics of the specific regional climate. In the simulation program PASSWORK that was developed, as a design tool, by the authors, the three days climate pattern is input as weather data. This climate pattern is composed for each month of the year in order to reflect the local condition. In this paper, a method of composing the three days climate pattern on the basis of AMeDAS (Automated Meteorological Data Acquisition System) data that covers almost all Japan was proposed and verified. It is also shown through case studies that those climate pattern could follow the variety of local climate.
