Abstract
The objective of this research is to argue about a method to describe form visually as well as numerically, by using personal computer. In section one, the need of such a method is discussed. In section two, the concept of "Voxel Model" is described and compared with the conventional method called "Geometry Model". In section three, "Plane Voxel Model" is proposed to describe architecture form, and two types of program to present "Plane Voxel Model" are discussed. In section four, the "Plane Voxel Model" is applied for the analysis of European Plazas. The numerical analysis of plazas in various aspects were made utilizing the visual description of form in "Plane Voxel Model". Through these discussions and analysis, the advantage of using "Plane Voxel Model" is clarified. And the possibility of further development in describing the external environment is focusedion in section five.
