STUDY ON EVALUATION OF PITCH OF WASH AND SLIPPERINESS ON BATHROOM FLOORS DERIVED FROM A VIEWPOINT OF SAFETY : Presentation of evaluation index at walking

Abstract

This paper presents the index for evaluating pitch of wash and slipperiness on bathroom floors at walking. At first, the psychological scale of evaluation relating to pitch of wash and slipperiness of bathroom floors employed for the test was constructed. Then, slipperiness on sample floors was measured using "0-Y pull slip meter". Derived from the result of measurements, C. S. R-B was calculated as the physical value which corresponds to the slipperiness on bathroom floors. Secondly, based on the correlation between psychological evaluation scale and physical characteristics of sample floors, pitch of wash and C. S. R-B, the evaluation index was obtained.
