Abstract
About twenty years ago author developed the slip meter named O-Y・PSM(ONO-YOSHIOKA PULL SLIP METER) for measuring the slip resistance (named C.S.R) of building floor, outdoor surface and so on. Then O-Y・PSM has been contributed to secure a safety and comfort of human beings from a viewpoint of slipperiness. On the other hand, O-Y・PSM is not convenient because of it's heavy weight and large size, so author considered the necessity of developing the new simple and convenient slip meter. The basal conditions of new slip meter are as follows. The weight and size are both very small so as to measure the slip resistance (named C.S.R') more simply and it's not necessary the source of electricity and motive power. Under the basal conditions author developed the new slip meter named ONO・PPSM (ONO・PORTABLE PULL SLIP METER). Basal mechanics of ONO・PPSM is quite similar to O-Y・PSM, and author proved the propriety by means of the sameness of both slip resistances C.S.R' and C.S.R.
