Abstract

We proposed a multi-point observation system for nuclear power plants with many accelerometers on each floor. As an example of a building with irregular shapes such as an atrium and setbacks, we installed this system in the High Temperature engineering Test Reactor (HTTR).

As a result of analyzing the seismic records obtained by this system, we have identified seismic behaviors that may be due to the irregular shapes of the building. We have confirmed that the multi-point observation system is effective for grasping the three-dimensional behaviors of buildings with irregularities.
