Abstract
Number of beds in hospital used to be considered as a principal index on the calculation for the scale of Paramedical facilitis. But actual number of in-patients and out-patients have influence on the utilization frequency of paramedical facilities. In this paper I made an analisis on the correlation between these factors, and tried to set a principal index for calculating the scale of Param-edical facilities. Main materials for the study are The Annual Report of National Hospitals, (1960〜1964), (By National Hospital Section, Medical Affairs Bureau, Welfare Ministry.) Firstly, Yearly change of utilization frequency and Utilization rate of Para-medical facilities per patient was analized, and correlation between three factors : number of paramedicale facilities utilization per day (z), number of new-in-patients per day (x) and number of new-out-patients per day (y) was analized, and then formula of Regression Plane was set up through the correlation between these three factors. As the result, the fallowings were confirmed; (1) (x) and (y) are in propotional relation, and (x) and (z) are in propotional relation, and (y) and (z) are in protional relation. (Fig. 1〜6) (2) On the calculation for the (z), (y) is not so much important factor as (x) (3) Adaptability between calculated value and measured value was analized on each (z). The result was as follows, i) (z) indicated high approximation in surgical operation and direct xray examination. ii) (z) indicated low approximation in radiological therapy and physiological examination. iii) (z) indicated no approximation in test in the clinical laboratory. (4) Required number of operating tables or radiographic units could be calculated through diniding the calculated value by the handling capacity per operating table or radiographic unit per day.
