Abstract

This paper is written regarding the ultimate strength of reinforced concrete wall panels with opening under uniform shear by using limit analysis, morever the relation between opening ratio, side ratio of panel and the decrease coefficient of shear responsibility. In this paper, it is assumed that the failure of reinforced concrete wall panels is based upon mohr's failure hypothesis. The Method of this study is approximate solution by upper and lower bound method using fundamental theory led by the late Dr. Ono and Dr. Tanaka. In last the validity of this solution is checked by experience result of Dr. Tomii. As the result of this study, it was proved that the decrease coefficient of shear force responsibility obtained from limit analysis, that is, the ratio of ultimate strength of reinforced concrete wall panels with opening to those without opening drops quickly in proportion to opening ratio and side ratio of panel.
