Abstract
This paper describes studies on the buckling of the plane and space structure by the displacement method, and discussed the buckling loads of the plane and space structure due to electric digital computer. In this analysis, the following assumptions are employed : (1) The distribuled loads of the member are concentrated at the joint. (2) The members are assumed as straight, constnt, cross section on each dividcd part. (3) The shearing deformation of the members are neglected. (4) Beigungsverdrehung and local buckling of the members are neglected. (5) The members are able to be resisted to bending moment, twisting moment, axial force and shearing force. These results are as follow : (1) The buckling load of the gabled roof frame approches to one of the arched roof frame. Because the span and size of the column in the gabled roof frame are same to the one of the arched roof frame. (2) In the space structure, the buckling load of the H.P. type is larger than one of the pyramidal type at the same size. (3) In the rigid truss, the buckling load by the displacement method approaches to the result of the experiment.
