Abstract
The planning of the Audience Chambers at Yamazato in the Imperial Palace was commenced in May 1881 by J. Conder (Professor at the Imperial Collage of Enginnring, a〓itect and advisor to the form〓 Department of Public works and also to the Bureau of Imperial Palace Con〓; 1852-1920, M. R. I. B. A.) and the plans was prepared in July 1882. J. Conder improved the Reception Rooms at Akasaka designed by C. de Boinville hough was order〓 working on old lines and using old materials as much as possible. But this plan was gave up in April 18〓 In the present paper, the details of the progress after 〓 first planning and the outlines of the designs are described.
