Abstract
The results of the observation of wind velocity within the housing estates in which one-storied houses are reqularly distributed in large area are reported. The average characteristics of wind turbulence, for example the intensity of turbulence and the structure of turbulence, are studied comparing them with the structure of wind over the open space near the sites. It is concluded that the mean values of wind velocity among the buildings in the housing estates are nearly 1/2 of free windvelocity over the sites, and the intensity of tubulence is 2 or 3 times larger than that of the free wind.
