Abstract
The purpose of this study is to clarify the effect of pile diameter on the base resistance of nondisplacement piles in sands. Experiments were carred out systematically by model piles in the pressurized tanks. The test results were compared with full scale test results of non-displacement piles (bored piles), and also plate loading test results at the bottom of a borehole in sands and gravel.
