Abstract
This study deals with an analysis of occupant behavior in an office building under fire and continues from the previous paper of (Part 1, Classifications of Behaviors). In this paper, the interrelationship between three items of a) Occupation and Sex, b) First Action After Perceiving Fire and c) Evacuation Behavior has been analyzed to find out characteristic behavior patterns. And mutually related categories between the three items have been selected by using the quantification theory of Case 3. As the result of analysis, two types of behavior patterns have been extracted. They are the behavior of store owners and male store clerks of the building's shops and restaurants to (F_1) take responsible actions when they perceive a fire and then to (E_1) escape via the route that they previously decided to take in fire situations, and the behavior of female office clerks of the companies in the building to (F_4) wait for superior officers' instructions when they perceive a fire and then (E_5) escape by following instruction and guidance. But, since most of the occupants take F_3 (call to others to escape together, remove valuables or waver in confusion) as "First Action" and E_2 (take a shorter route or choose a route instantly) or E_4 (run after others) as "Evacuation Behavior", it is more appropriate to conclude that in a fire situation of an office building, people take F_3 and E_2 or E_4 behaviors latently and among them, those who are in the position of feeling professional consciousness strongly will take peculiar behavior patterns as F_1 to E_1 and F_4 to E_5.
